Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into telco priorities as they look to digitally transform both internally and in customer-facing operations. The document contains data from IDC’s May 2024 Telecom Digital Transformation Survey, based on responses from 100 telco operators globally.
“Our operator survey respondents identified automation as their top priority. This likely reflects an understanding that automation of processes and operations pays multiple dividends both internally and in how they can change how they engage with customers,” said John Byrne, research VP, Communications Service Provider Operations and Monetization at IDC. “Telcos also ranked better customer engagement tools and an increasing use of GenAI as key priorities, which both go hand in hand with the need for higher levels of automation.”
