Abstract

This Tech Buyer Survey Spotlight presents select findings from IDC's January 2024 CEO Survey and IDC's July 2024 CIO Sentiment Survey. With the increasing adoption of GenAI, organizations are looking to leverage its potential for innovation and efficiency. However, most CEOs feel that their organization lacks the necessary skills to deliver on their planned near-term AI initiatives. While CIOs are open to adjusting hiring practices to support GenAI, over 40% are unsure of the specific skills needed, underscoring the importance of building internal and external partnerships focused on skills development.
