Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes the preferences that organizations have when choosing between adding GenAI capabilities into security defense and resilience programs, securing the use of GenAI technology, or not seeing either option as a significant objective. Further analysis looks at these choices for a range of GenAI maturity use cases, from not doing anything to all the way up to having already introduced GenAI capabilities into their organization.
This analysis is based on IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending (FERS) Survey, Wave 8, conducted in August 2024, with a focus on security and risk issues associated with GenAI.
