Abstract

This IDC Survey will provide insights from the latest Sustainable Buildings, Homes, and Districts Survey on climate resilience in the built environment, According to Munich Re, natural hazards resulted in losses of around $250 billion and over 74,000 fatalities in 2023. For over half of public and private building developers, owners, and operators, improving resilience to natural hazards and climatic risks is a top 3 business priority. This IDC Survey will highlight how built environment stakeholders are integrating climate resilience into their projects, how this differs regionally, and what technology investments architecture, engineering, and construction companies are making to help their public and private sector customers meet their resilience goals.
